FAQ:

Q: Who would benefit from using an Elder Care Manager?

A: Anyone! If you are struggling to meet the needs of your parents, grand-parents, neighbors, friends or any loved one, a care manager may be ideal for you. the responsibilities of frequent hospitalizations, coordination of care, end-of-life support, dementia care, preventing scams, bill paying, and medical appointments just to name a few, can become overwhelming and complex. Having a care manager to manage current issues and unforeseen circumstances may be the answer needed to reduce your stress and anxiety.

Q: Does family of the client have to be present while services are rendered?

A: No; with a high senior population, most family members of aging seniors reside out of state or are caring for their own growing family. Entrusting your loved one to a care manager to manage and oversee their overall needs may be crucial for seniors to remain independent in their own home.  Family/friends are welcome to stay while care and support is rendered. However, we are here for your convenience, and you can rest assured that our services will always be provided with dignity, respect and with the upmost professionalism. Weekly reports are given to families via a phone call, email or any mode of preferred communication.

Q: When is the right time to engage CW Senior for health care POA services?

A: Now is the right time! A senior cannot set up healthcare Power of Attorney, living will, healthcare surrogate or any advance directives once a senior has been deemed incapacitated. Once a senior has been deemed incapacitated then the courts will have to be petitioned for guardianship which may be state appointed if no family is available.  Industry standards are for all seniors to have advance directives in place once medical issues arise and before you are unable to make your own decisions.

Q: How much do CW Senior Support services cost?

A: The cost varies based on the needs of the individual; a FREE 30-minute consultation is offered and recommended for each inquiry to discuss your unique needs. Services start at $140 per hour based on needs. Every client is billed monthly, prior to services being rendered. All services are customizable and can be discussed during initial assessment.

Q: Does insurance cover CW Senior Support services?

A: No. because this is a private concierge service, insurance is unfortunately not accepted to cover costs. However, one can claim the medical expenses on their taxes at the end of year. An end-of-year statement is provided to each client.

Q: Would my health care manager and POA be the same person?

A: Yes, all care and services are personally administered by the owner, Esther.

Q: Can CW Senior Support help me remain at home?
